How to change of Permanent residence on the Ownership Certifikate

Added: 21.3.2023

One of the obligations of a new property owner is to enter the new address of permanent residence on the Ownership Certificate (called as Property List, or List vlastnictva in Slovak language) .

It usually happens that at the time of signing the purchase contract you have a permanent residence at another address, another country or e.g. with parents. When you buy a property, ussually you get a new identity card (Obciansky preukaz). Within 30 days you get the ID, you are obliged to report a change of permanent residence to the Cadastre.

Keep in mind that your address will act as a contact in various cases. An example is your neighbor's construction proceedings, which makes you a Party to the proceedings. In apartment buildings, your data may be used when applying for mortgages, loans or reconstruction documentation.

Therefore, do not steal information that has a significant impact on you!

All you need is a simple request. The application is free, you can submit it in person, by post or electronically through the central portal (slovensko.sk). You submit the application to the relevant district office - cadastral department, in whose territorial district the property is located. The cadastre has 60 days for processing.

If you are interested in an application, we will be happy to send it to you. We can also arrange the entire shift for you on a turnkey basis. Write to us at info@desire.sk or call 0905 881 936.
